FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Commercial debt recovery FAQs.

Straight answers about proposed pricing, commission, dispute handling, commercial visits and what Avencrest can and cannot claim.

What types of debts are intended for the service?

Ordinary UK B2B commercial invoices and overdue business receivables are the intended initial focus. Debts involving individuals, sole traders, regulated agreements, insolvency or litigation need specific screening before any instruction.

How much does Avencrest propose to charge?

Indicative per-account packages are £19 Essential (one phone attempt and email), £39 Standard (the first two steps plus a posted letter), and £149 Complete (all previous steps plus one authorised business-premise visit) with recovery commission only as agreed. Individual activity rates and exclusions are on the pricing page.

What does one telephone call include?

One authorised outbound attempt recorded with its outcome. An unanswered call still counts as an attempt; it is not a guarantee of speaking with the debtor.

Does the agency add collection costs to the debtor?

Not automatically. Avencrest fees would be agreed with the instructing creditor. Any contractual or statutory recoverable sum requires its own lawful basis and belongs to the appropriate party.

Can you guarantee recovery?

No. Outcome depends on debt validity, debtor solvency, dispute facts, engagement and other factors. No credible provider should promise a guaranteed recovery percentage for an unassessed portfolio.

Are field agents bailiffs?

No. Ordinary collection staff cannot seize assets, enter by force or claim judicial enforcement powers.

Does a solicitor send every demand letter?

No. Ordinary non-solicitor letters form part of the proposed agency service. Genuine solicitor-branded correspondence would be separately quoted and handled by an independent authorised law firm.

Do you offer no-win-no-fee collection?

A standalone success-only contract is not currently advertised as a standard product. Commission-led or hybrid arrangements may be considered by written quotation once costs and risk are understood.

Can you manage an entire accounts receivable ledger?

Bespoke outsourced credit-control and portfolio management are proposed services, subject to negotiated service levels, commercial scope and operational readiness. The public prices are not recurring subscriptions.

Can I send my list of debtors through the website?

Not yet. The current enquiry experience is a demonstration and does not transmit or store data. Do not submit debtor names, invoices, account details or personal information through the public preview.

What geographical areas do you cover?

The proposed starting base is East Midlands, England. Verified field coverage and contractual availability will be agreed case by case, with England-wide service development being a future ambition.

What happens when an invoice is disputed?

The disputed amount and the nature of the issue should be reviewed by the creditor. Collection cannot be used to bypass a genuine contractual dispute or imply that liability has been judicially established.
